About Solar IQ
At Solar IQ, our team is ready to help you with your PV projects. This can be any size from a 10kWp
system to a 500kWp system and larger.
Our team of engineers and technicians has been active within the solar PV industry since 2018. Our
knowledge of the solar industry draws from extensive experience in a wide range of areas –
construction, mechanical, electrical, electronics and lighting industry, in both R&D and
manufacturing.

Our clients are solar PV installers, architects, M&E consultants, electricians, project managers, etc.
Our Team
Jan Vreenegoor is an electronic engineer with decades of experience designing systems guided by an ecological and sustainable ethos.
​
He moved to Ireland from the Netherlands in the early 1990s to establish a factory producing electronic devices to support the visually impaired. As the operation expanded, Jan played a key role in the design and construction of a 3,000 m² round-pole timber building, built using sustainable materials, maximising natural daylight, and heated with woodchip—demonstrating an early commitment to renewable energy and environmentally responsible design.

A decade later, Jan founded an LED lighting company, where he led the electronic, mechanical, and optical design of the luminaires. The company was among the first to incorporate tuneable white lighting, reflecting his forward-thinking approach to energy efficiency and human-centred design.
​
Throughout his career, Jan has maintained a strong interest in solar PV systems, closely following their technological development. Around five years ago, he began working directly with solar PV companies, applying his extensive engineering expertise to renewable energy projects.

Today, Jan offers his services to solar PV clients, combining deep technical knowledge with a long-standing commitment to sustainable, future-focused solutions.
Aidan Brennan is a senior mechatronics engineer with extensive experience in equipment installation,
commissioning, and technical support across a wide range of advanced technologies. His background
includes large-scale computer systems in the banking, casino and gaming industries. Furthemore Aidan expertise extends to telecommunications systems, and energy control solutions.
With over a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector, Aidan provides high-level consultancy, commissioning, and troubleshooting services, specialising in solar PV and energy storage systems. He is known for his methodical approach, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality outcomes for clients.
Aidan’s goal-oriented mindset and dedication to excellence ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term system performance.
Aidan runs Solar DNA - Victron Specilaist Ireland​, offering custom solutions based on modular Victron equipment.​​​
Pavol Ondruška is a highly experienced construction and renewable energy professional with over 20 years of hands-on expertise across construction, manufacturing, and technical management. Originally from Slovakia, he spent nine years living and working in Ireland, gaining in-depth knowledge of Irish building standards and real-world building performance through extensive on-site experience, including leading teams on active construction projects.

For the past decade, Pavol has successfully managed an LED lighting manufacturing company, overseeing production planning, quality assurance, and the coordination of staff and suppliers. His strong engineering background—covering materials, manufacturing processes, electronics, and electrical assembly—ensures a practical, detail-driven approach to every project.

Over the last five years, Pavol has specialised in solar PV system design and assessment, delivering accurate, data-driven evaluations using professional tools such as OpenSolar. From site layouts and system drawings to performance simulations, he provides clear insight into solar potential and long-term system performance. This rare combination of construction expertise, engineering knowledge, and independent analysis allows Pavol to offer honest, practical, and unbiased solar PV assessments—empowering clients to invest in solar with confidence.
